Cookie Policy
What the JCMCE website stores on a visitor’s device, why it is used and how optional measurement can be accepted, rejected or withdrawn.
Our approach
Necessary first. Optional only by choice.
The public website uses a necessary preference cookie to remember a visitor’s choice. Analytics does not start unless the visitor actively accepts it. Rejecting analytics does not restrict the website, project information, Project Guide or contact routes. JCMCE does not currently use advertising or behavioural profiling cookies.
Technology currently supported
Google Analytics cookies are not set unless a valid measurement property is configured and the visitor accepts analytics. The first party analytics endpoint records the page path, interaction name, random identifier, referring hostname and approved campaign fields. It does not accept form content, chat messages or a full referring URL.
Change or withdraw a choice
Use the Cookie choices link in the footer at any time. Rejecting optional analytics stops future measurement and removes the JCMCE analytics identifier and any first party Google Analytics cookies accessible to this website. Browser controls can also remove stored cookies.
Anonymous use and follow up
Analytics identifies a random browser session, not a named person. JCMCE cannot contact an anonymous visitor from a page view. Follow up begins only when a visitor chooses to provide contact details by email, telephone or the commissioned enquiry form. Campaign attribution may be attached to that enquiry so JCMCE can understand which source led to the contact.
