The BOC Acetylene Plant in Immingham is a state-of-the-art facility for the production of high-quality acetylene gas, serving welding, cutting and chemical synthesis applications across regional industries.

Delivered through WorleyParsons, JCM Consultant Engineers provided project engineering management including project scoping and feasibility studies (technical, economic and environmental), and detailed engineering design and specification to the highest standards of safety, efficiency and reliability.

We ensured compliance with Tier 1 COMAH (Control of Major Accident Hazards), the Industrial Emissions Directive (IED) and related health, safety and environmental directives — including HAZOP and LOPA risk assessments — and managed procurement, contracts, construction management and commissioning, with ongoing optimisation and compliance support post-commissioning.
