BOC Dissolved Acetylene Plant (Tier 1 COMAH)

The BOC Acetylene Plant in Immingham is a modern facility for the production of high quality acetylene gas, serving welding, cutting and chemical synthesis applications across regional industries.

Delivered through WorleyParsons, JCM Consultant Engineers provided project engineering management including project scoping and feasibility studies (technical, economic and environmental), and detailed engineering design and specification to the highest standards of safety, efficiency and reliability.

We ensured compliance with Tier 1 COMAH, the Industrial Emissions Directive and related health, safety and environmental requirements, including HAZOP and LOPA risk assessments. We also managed procurement, contracts, construction management and commissioning, with ongoing optimisation and compliance support after commissioning.
