Bonaire Hybrid Windfarm — Technical Due Diligence

The Bonaire windfarm, backed up with diesel generation, is a hybrid renewable energy project that merges wind turbine output with diesel generators to maintain consistent supply during low-wind periods, optimising plant efficiency and grid reliability.

On behalf of an Independent Power Producer, JCM Consultant Engineers delivered a comprehensive technical due diligence: review of technical documentation (design drawings, equipment specifications and performance data); on-site inspections of the wind and diesel assets; regulatory and permit compliance verification; operational performance and maintenance record analysis; and financial modelling and valuation support.

Our assessment examined grid connection and the Power Purchase Agreement, identified associated risks, and enabled the client to secure a valuable renewable energy asset with strong potential for growth and long-term value creation.
