MEA based flue gas CO₂ recovery, purification and productive industrial use.
Carbon capture and utilisation was a primary requirement on three quad generation plants developed for the Nigerian Bottling Company in Nigeria. The integrated process used MEA based absorption and solvent regeneration with a reboiler to extract CO₂ from plant flue gas.
The recovered CO₂ was purified and analysed to verify 99.99% purity for use in Coca Cola production. Applicable HACCP requirements were incorporated into the process, product quality and safety controls. This is evidenced carbon utilisation experience and is distinct from carbon transport and geological storage.
